They might seem pricey at first, but dimmable CCFL comes at a price premium. I paid almost this much for ONE bulb a couple years ago. For those who scoff at bulb warranties, understand that CCFL is not the same as regular CFL. CCFL can operate at lower temperatures than CFL and can withstand alot of on/off cycles. CCFL is the same technology used in the backlights of LCD monitors and HDTVs.

The one review on HD's site complains about condensation and flicker. They must be using it in a harsh outdoor environment. The packaging instructions specifically state the bulb must face up when installed outdoors unless it's in an enclosure. The light quality looks good to me, so I have to disagree with the reviewer.

Online price $11.97. Local store's price is $12.47.
